Egypt has a population of nearly 75 million with an annual growth of 1.98 percent. The U.S. is Egypt’s second largest trading partner and largest single-country trading partner, accounting for approximately 19.2% of imported products. Consumers are more aware of the quality and variety of food products, resulting in a change of buying habits. This change provides more opportunities for imported food products, especially with the rapidly growing expansion of fast food chains, hotels and restaurants in the market.
