In 2005, Turkey imported about $6.5 billion in agricultural products, up 8% from 2004. The United States is the largest single exporter of agricultural products to Turkey, with a market share of about 17% in 2005. One-fifth of all U.S. exports to Turkey are agricultural products. The Turkish economy has enjoyed five years of growth, gaining an average of 7.9% between 2002 and 2004. |
