Activity Name Chile/Argentina Staves Promotion
  The market for United States staves, barrels and wood chips for the Chilean, Argentinean, and other South American wine industries is expanding. The value of cooperage products (casks, barrels, vats, etc. of white oak wood) shipped by U.S. companies to Chile have risen at a healthy rate the past four years, while exports to Argentina have been up the past three years. The purpose of this activity is to increase consumer awareness of the positive attributes of American white oak barrels, staves and wood chips in the wine making process.
