The U.S. is the second most important trading partner to Mexico. With a rising
middle class increasingly concerned about health issues, consumers are willing to pay for the quality of U.S. products. From 2003 to 2005, U.S. exports of snack foods to Mexico increased by 20%. The economy is on the rise, while its GDP is expected to grow by nearly 14% between 2006 and 2010 to reach $984 billion. |
