As the world’s largest market for imported consumer food products and the largest market for U.S. food and agricultural exports, Japan offers a number of opportunities for U.S. food and beverage exporters. A group of buyers and a chef from Japan will visit the SUSTA region to meet with southern U.S. suppliers to identify food service products for introduction into the Japanese market. Companies will present their products in a tabletop display during meetings in Virginia and at the Summer New York Fancy Food show. Additionally, products selected by the buyers and chef may be used for a cooking seminar in Tokyo this October.
