The Panamanian and Costa Rican economies have remained surprisingly buoyant despite the U.S. downturn. CAFTA, the Central American Free Trade Agreement made it increasingly attractive for U.S. business to trade with the region. This trade mission will target major retail store buyers in both countries.SUSTA will organize one-on-one visits with key Central American retail buyers and provide interpreters.SUSTA will provide airfare from the US to Panama to Costa Rica and back to the U.S., as well as ground transportation to the airports in Central America, for one representative per participating company.Activity participation fee and dates are subject to change.
